My daughter is 11 and we just moved into a new house. The walls in her room are plain white and she wants to paint them bright pink like in our old house. Trouble she just got a new comforter that is bright pink and a throw blanket that is zebra striped. The room has accent things that are zebra striped. I’m scared if the walls are pink also it will be too much pink with a plain pink comforter. Any ideas for the walls?

sorry to get back to you so late, but i think i can help. how about putting a couple snazzy throw rugs on that brown carpet? it’ll help break it up. Also try putting posters and mirrors around to detract from your carpet. hope this will help!

I have a small bedroom and I really want to redecorate but I have no idea where to start. My room looks like an old lady’s because I got all my grandmothers quilts and curtains >.<
I really like the colors hot pink, purple, lime green, and teal blue but I dont know if all those colors won't fit together. I really want to make my room polka dot themed though. Any suggestions?

i have a medium sized room but i have 2 beds init which take up alot of room. i am not allowed to move one of the beds out as there isnt really another place for them in the house. im 14 and my bedroom looks likes its an 8yr olds bedroom so id really like to redecorate , im allowed to paint it, and move around the furniture. i loved the 2nd pic, i loved the colour scheme and all the cute trinkets. i really would like to revamp the room but on a kinda basic scale but would still lose that 8yr old look and make it abit more of a space that i would use and enjoy. i’d consider myself cheerful, and colourful,, and id love my room to reflect that, but still be relaxing and not to in your face.sorry if this is long but id love some of your ideas. please help!!! :D

if you like a modern feel try a whiite and black bedspread in a funky pattern. you can add pillows in different colors and add other colorful accents all over your room. it would also be easy to change up because it would be very versatile. not kiddish at all!

Okay, i have a medium sized bedroom and i get to re-decorate it. I have pastel baby colors right now all over the wall. Pink, blue, green, and purple. Its too kid-dish for me though! I get to re-paint it and buy a new bed frame, bedding, desk, and dresser. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hi Elizabeth!
When I read your post a perfect imagine came to my mind! Maybe you would consider making your wood wall look rustic such as staining it and you could make it “country” looking since you mentioned you liked country music. You could hang a lot of stuff on that wood wall to cover it such as a guitar and lots of photos since you said you liked photography. Also, try sketching a picture of your own to give your room a more personal feel. Since many of the colours you said you liked are more darker try adding a lighter accent with it such as white. It will really add to the contrast of your room!

If you are into acting, singing and dancing you should use red with gold accents for a “hollywood” type feel. You could hang gold stars on your walls and post cool black and white photos that inspire you. If you like the colours teal, green and blue try picking one of these colours – maybe even an aqua – and picking a less bright accent such as white, black, silver, gold etc. For other things in your room, you could add things that are importantant to you such as hanging some ballet slippers (dancing), microphones (singing) or movie film (acting) etc.

Hi!
I think that if you are not allowed to paint your walls you should cover them with tall furniture and lots of stuff on top of it. You should hang long bright curtains from your window. You could also get a bright bedspread with funky pillows. Try getting cool bold lighting such as a chandeliere with low lighting to give it a more “warm” feel. My friend just moved away as well and she got an electric fireplace. It provides warmth and you can buy it small and its no trouble at all!

Hi,my names Gabbie, I’m 13. I had this really awesome bedroom at my old house, I had photos all over the walls and had nice shiny floor boards. I’m at a new house now, with boring white walls and boring white carpet. I’m not allowed to paint the walls, or stick photo’s on the wall either. I miss my old room and the warm, homy feel it had- how can i get that back at this new house when I decorate my room???

Hi,
I have been looking at colors, ideas, magazines, and pictures for weeks. I want a deeper purple colored room, but I have a really small room and I am worried it will not look good. I have a wood floor and one of my walls is mostly wood (because of my closet and built-ins) And I want to paint all my wood, I don’t like the wood color.
I like gray, black, purple, and sapphire blue. I like pop and country music. I love TobyMac and Taylor swift. I hate pink. I like to draw/sketch and love photography.
Can anyone give me a suggestion? Thanks! =)
(btw. sorry it is so long, I am really stumped at what to do)

I’m having trouble with my bedroom. I had fitted wardrobes in and bedding that cost a lot and now I’m not that keen on it. Also i’d like to re-design my bedroom. I have some ideas but I can’t fit them together like fabric stripes,plum&posters on a wall maybe candy theme. But i can’t fit them all together. Any ideas?
