Thank you for the very detailed color information. I have always had white or eggshell walls and have been trying to get outside of my comfort zone and add a little color. This is very helpful information!

Get over yourself. You need to read SuperFreakonomics. Statistics still prove that more women are in the Kitchen than Men, and more Men want a pool table than women.

Well, ignoring the blatantly sexist tone to this article (kitchen is the woman’s arena and den and game room is for us men), I will agree that the neutral beige and earthy tones have worked well for our bedroom. We just repainted last month and this color is great for the bedroom. Now if the writers could get out of the dark ages in their assumptions we might value the advice a wee bit more.

Thanks for the tips. I’m painting my master bedroom this weekend. I’ll start by painting color patches for the 3 warm tone shades I have in mind. That’s a great idea I wouldn’t have thought of before; I mean you’re going to paint the whole wall anyway so why not mess things up a little to make sure you’ll love the colors down the road!
