Great ideas here! My mom went out of her way to make my room a dreamland for me over the years. I try to do the same for my daughter :) I think our next project may be a Hawaii or Luau beach theme!!

I would suggest you keep your natural wood-finish furniture and pick bedding, wall art, etc. in the color scheme that suits you; the childrens’ room(s) will look just fine that way!

Although my husband and I had every intention to purchase white furniture for our girls (2 & 4) who share a room, we purchased a bedroom set made fully in pine in an espresso finish. I’m now scared the furniture is too “old” for them…any suggestions on colours to match while trying to keep it girly and young? Please help!
